Long Island man allegedly drives SUV into BLM protesters

A person was arrested after allegedly driving his SUV into two Black Lives Issues protesters on Lengthy Island Monday night time, police mentioned.

Anthony Cambareri, 36, is accused of putting the activists with a Toyota RAV4 at about 6:45 p.m. on Broadway in Huntington Station, cops mentioned.

The 2 protesters had been taken to Huntington Hospital with non-life-threatening accidents, authorities mentioned.

Cambareri, of Coram, Lengthy Island, didn’t endure any accidents in the course of the incident.

He was charged with assault and given a desk look ticket.

A date for Cambareri’s arraignment at First District Courtroom in Central Islip is pending.
