Miley Cyrus paid homage to The Beatles in her personal particular approach on Saturday.
The “Slide Away” singer, 27, carried out a rousing rendition of the British band’s “Assist!” for the World Citizen World Aim: Unite for Our Future digital live performance in a very empty Rose Bowl Stadium in Pasadena, CA.
Sporting her new pixie-like mullet, Cyrus took the efficiency up a notch by sporting an ab-baring couture costume by Alexandre Vauthier impressed by The Beatles’ unique album art work for “Assist!,” giving the band’s outsized blue shirts a glamorous makeover.
“I wished it to remain vibrant and hopeful just like the melody of the track,” Cyrus advised Vogue of her look. “I like how this costume represents ‘Glam Rock.’ A bit extra [David] Bowie than The Beatles — with a nod to Dolly [Parton], whose model of ‘Assist!’ I used as inspiration for my cowl.”
She devoted her efficiency “to those that are tirelessly engaged on testing, therapy and vaccines so all of us can come collectively in locations like this empty stadium once more.”
